The Grey Matter Group (TGMG), which is based in Newbury, has become one of just nine providers in the country to receive ‘Centre of Excellence’ status from Skills for Care (SfC).
TGMG became a ‘Recognised Provider‘ by SfC in February but was awarded the top accolade just three months later.
Alex Knapp, Chief Engagement Officer of The Grey Matter Group, said: “We were so proud to achieve Recognised Provider status, and we are ecstatic that we have now been rated as a Centre of Excellence.
“Our team works hard to support the sector and our valued partners, so this endorsement is testimony to their dedication.”
The Grey Matter Group enables resource-challenged adult social care providers access to a revolutionary method of assessing social care professionals.
It also checks their competence through a unique online service, which offers providers a quality-assured method, while also making time and cost savings.
Alex Knapp, added: “Recognition from Skills for Care provides a stamp of approval for workforce development managed in a different way.
“By enabling providers to build value in their staff team, through personalised learning journeys, we recognise and develop staff knowledge and skills, building pride and job satisfaction and positively impacting retention of fit-for-practice staff.”
The Grey Matter Group’s solutions support providers to undertake workforce development in line with guidance from SfC and National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) while meeting Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations to ensure a safe and competent workforce.
Having moved into new offices in Newbury last month, the endorsement provides a welcome addition to the company’s new office space and is testament to how a local business can have a national impact within the health and social care sector.
Skills for Care (SfC) is the sector skills council for adult social care in the UK, responsible for overseeing workforce development and learning within the adult social care sector.
